SEGi University is a private university located in Kota Damansara, Selangor. SEGi is the largest private higher education provider in Malaysia.[5] Previously, it was known as SEGi University College until end of 2014, when the Ministry of Education (Malaysia) announced its upgrade to university status. The university have 4 campuses (UEP Subang Jaya, Kuala Lumpur, Penang and Sarawak) and eight Recruitment Centres (Batu Pahat, Bukit Mertajam, Ipoh, Johor Bahru, Kota Kinabalu, Kuantan and Seremban).[6] SEGI courses covers business, computing, engineering and an increasing range of programmes in the Medical sciences. SEGi also offers programmes affiliated with Abertay University, University of Sunderland, University of St Mark and St John, University of York St John, University of Greenwich, all from the United Kingdom, University of Southern Queensland, Australia and Upper Iowa University in the United States. This university famously known for winning Putra Brand Award in year 2010, 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2015[7]

History

SEGi University, founded in 1977 as Systematic College, is located in Kota Damansara, Selangor, Malaysia.[8] In year 2014, it was granted the University status.

The main campus known as SEGi university located at Kota Damansara. Meanwhile, there are 4 campus across Malaysia which known as SEGi College.

SEGi College Penang Campus

The Main campus is SEGi University Kota Damansara. Its flagship campus is the largest amongst the 5 campuses, and is popular for its Health Sciences programmes (Medicine, Pharmacy, Dentistry and Optometry) and also Engineering. It is a main and heads of university under SEGi Group.

Other Campuses

SEGi College Penang

SEGi College Penang serves as SEGi's education hub to students in the northern region of Malaysia. The campus is located in the city of George Town, Penang. The campus offers a wide range of programmes, ranging from the American Degree Program to Hospitality and Tourism.

SEGi College Kuala Lumpur

College KL is the first SEGi campus and it is well known for its Business programmes since the 1970s. Currently, it offers a wide range of programmes from foundation to master's degree levels.

SEGi College Subang Jaya

The campus began its operation in 2006. Located at the "college belt" of the nation, the campus is well known for its Early Care and Childhood Education and also its postgraduate programmes. It is located at the UEP Persiaran kewajipan beside with the The Summit Shopping Malls and The Giant Hypermarkets.

SEGi College Sarawak

The only SEGi campus in East Malaysia. Programmes that are well sought-after include the Law programme.
