USS Arkansas (SSN-800) will be a Virginia-class submarine for the United States Navy. During a Naming Ceremony on June 15, 2016, Secretary of the Navy Ray Mabus announced that future U.S. Navy submarine SSN-800 will bear the name USS Arkansas. [2] USS Arkansas is a Block 4 Virginia-class submarine that was ordered on April 28, 2014.
