Stephanie Sachiko "Sachi" Parker (born September 1, 1956) is an American actress who has numerous film and television credits.

Early life

Parker was born in Los Angeles the only child of actress Shirley MacLaine and businessman Steve Parker (1922–2001).[1] At age two she was sent to Japan to live with her father. During the summer and at holidays, she visited her mother; they posed together on the cover of the February 9, 1959 issue of Life Magazine. Her uncle is actor Warren Beatty.

Parker taught skiing in New Zealand, became a waitress in Hawaii, then spent five years as a stewardess for Qantas and a brief time as an au pair in Paris. In 1981 she returned to Los Angeles and decided to become an actress.[2]

Parker's work includes television appearances on Star Trek: The Next Generation, Equal Justice and Alien Nation, and small film roles in Stick, About Last Night..., Peggy Sue Got Married and Bad Influence. She has also done small local theater.[2] She starred in the 2009 Japanese film The Witch of the West Is Dead, which showed at the Palm Springs International Film Festival.

On February 7, 2013, Penguin Group published Parker's autobiography Lucky Me: My Life With – and Without – My Mom, Shirley MacLaine.[3] MacLaine has called the book "virtually all fiction".[4]

Personal life

Parker was married to investment banker Frank Murray from 1993 until their divorce in 2011. They lived a certain period in Houston, Texas while Murray was the president of Goodman Holdings. She and Murray have two children, a son, Frank Murray, Jr. (born 1996) and a daughter, Arin Murray (born 1998).[5][6]
