Sasha Lane (born September 29, 1993),[1] is an American actress. She made her film debut in American Honey (2016) directed by Andrea Arnold.

Early life

Lane grew up in Dallas, Texas.[1] Prior to becoming an actress, Lane worked as an waitress at a restaurant in Frisco, Texas.[2] Lane was also into basketball and sports.[2] She was also a stand-out athlete of basketball, field teams, and track.[2] She attended Texas State University in San Marcos, Texas, but left.[1][3]

Career

Lane made her film debut in American Honey a film about magazine crews, written and directed by Andrea Arnold, starring opposite Shia LaBeouf and Riley Keough.[4] While on spring break, Arnold spotted Lane sunbathing on a beach, Lane felt Arnold's vibe and decided to trust Arnold and audition.[5][6][7] The film had its world premiere at the Cannes Film Festival on May 15, 2016.[8] A24 will distribute the film.[9] Lane will next be seen in Hunting Lila to be directed by Paul J. Franklin.[10]
