Senad Tiganj (born 28 August 1975) is a retired Slovenian football player who played as a striker.
Club career
Senad's early years of his career were associated with Jesenice and Triglav Kranj. He made his PrvaLiga debut in April 2004 against Primorje. After 4 years in Svoboda he moved to Korotan Prevalje. After two and a half successful seasons he signed with Mura in second part of the 2000–01 season. In summer 2001 he moved to Olimpija. He stayed there till December 2002, before moving to Ukrainian side Karpaty Lviv. After season and a half in Ukraine he moved to Rijeka and later to Ljubljana. After short spell with Ljubljana he played 2 years in various 3rd Liga clubs (FC Rot-Weiß Erfurt, SV Wacker Burghausen and Jahn Regensburg). He returned to Slovenia in 2006 and played 13 matches for Drava Ptuj in first part of the 2006–07 season. In January 2007 he moved to Austrian side Kapfenberger SV. After short spell with Kapfenberger he signed with SAK Celovec. In first part of the 2008–09 season he played for Aluminij,[1] and in second for Drava Ptuj.[2] On 14 July 2009 he signed contract with Olimpija.[3]
International career
Tiganj made his debut and scored his only goal for Slovenia national football team on 6 October 2001 against Faroe Islands. He played 4 times for the Slovenian national team and was a part of the Slovenian 2002 FIFA World Cup squad.
