Sepia sewelli is a species of cuttlefish native to the western Indian Ocean, from Cape Guardafui, Somalia (Lua error in package.lua at line 80: module 'strict' not found. to Lua error in package.lua at line 80: module 'strict' not found.) to Zanzibar and probably Madagascar. It lives at depths of 37 to 238 m.[1]

S. sewelli grows to a mantle length of 30 mm.[1]

The type specimen was collected near Cape Guardafui (Lua error in package.lua at line 80: module 'strict' not found. to Lua error in package.lua at line 80: module 'strict' not found.) and is deposited at The Natural History Museum in London.[2]
