Sergej Trifunović (Serbian Cyrillic: Сергеј Трифуновић, Serbian pronunciation: [sɛ̌rɡɛːj trifǔːnɔʋitɕ]; born 2 September 1972) is a popular Serbian movie actor.[1]

Sergej was born in Mostar, SR Bosnia and Herzegovina, SFR Yugoslavia, in the family of actor Tomislav Trifunović and lawyer Slobodanka.[1] His younger brother is actor Branislav Trifunović.[1] His father's career made the family moving between cities, thus Sergej's early years were spent in Mostar, Užice, Kruševac and Belgrade.[2] His father was born in Mali Popović near Jagodina.[3] In 1990 Trifunović enrolled in the Belgrade Faculty of Drama Arts in the class of professor Vladimir Jevtović. His fellow students were Nataša Ninković, Vojin Ćetković and Nebojša Glogovac.[1] He did not finish his studies.[4]
