Shamirpet is a suburb and mandal in Ranga Reddy District of Telangana, India. It is located in the north outskirts of Hyderabad. It is home to Shamirpet lake, Jawahar Deer Park, Genome Valley, NALSAR University of Law, Institute of Public Enterprise, BITS Pilani-Hyderabad.

Shamirpet is 22 km away from Secunderabad Railway station and 34 km from Rajiv Gandhi International Airport. Katta maisamma temple is located near the Shamirpet Lake. People go there in huge numbers especially during weekends.
