    Shrek: Treasure Hunt is a party video game for the PlayStation. It was developed by Code Monkeys, and published by TDK Mediactive. The game was released on October 18, 2002 in North America.[1] However, despite this was the only Shrek game released for the PlayStation, an Nintendo 64 version was cancelled. Digital Illusions was going to develop the game, but it was busy with Shrek Extra Large.

    The game focuses on Shrek searching for food and drinks and other items, that is intended for the picnic before Princess Fiona arrives.

    Gameplay

    As player controls Shrek on collecting items for the picnic, they will have to go through minigames and challenges, in order to complete the level and receive items. Additionally, you could collect throughout the area, certain challenges or minigames will contain time limit, for some will not. Whenever the player wins, you will receive items.[2][3]

    Development and release

    Shrek: Treasure Hunt was developed by Code Monkeys ,and published by TDK Mediactive under their publishing label TDK Impulse, for the PlayStation.

    Reception

    Shrek: Treasure Hunt received a mostly negative response from critics upon release. GameRankings, an aggregator for game reviews, assigned the game a score of 21% based on one review.[4]
