Silver metallism

Lua error in package.lua at line 80: module 'strict' not found. Silver metallism is a form of metallism in which silver is used as either the sole type of widely accepted and circulated money (as in silver monometallism) or as one of several metals in that role (as in bimetallism).

In China in the 19th century, silver monometallism prevailed.
