The Sisters of the Holy Spirit and Mary Immaculate are a Roman Catholic female religious order based in Texas.[1]

It was established in 1886 in San Antonio, Texas.[2] The founder of the order, Margaret Mary Healy Murphy, created the group in order to help with her mission of educating African Americans in San Antonio. The order created the first free, private school for blacks in that city.[3]
