Solaseed Air (ソラシド エア Sorashido Ea?), incorporated as Skynet Asia Airways Co., Ltd. (スカイネットアジア航空株式会社 Sukainetto Ajia Kōkū Kabushiki-gaisha?, SNA) is a low-cost airline headquartered on the property of Miyazaki Airport in Miyazaki, Miyazaki Prefecture, Japan.

It operates services mainly between destinations on Kyushu and Tokyo. The airline changed its branding to Solaseed Air in July 2011.[2]

History

The airline was established in May 2002, and started operations in July 2002. It was formerly Pan Asia Airlines. It launched services as the fourth new airline in a deregulated Japanese market since 1998. The airline is owned by the Industrial Revitalisation Corporation of Japan (56.9%) and Mera Electric Industrial Corporation (11.7%).

Corporate affairs

Solaseed established the head office in the second floor of Miyazaki Airport Building (宮崎空港ビル Miyazaki Kūkō Biru?) in Miyazaki, Miyazaki Prefecture, Japan.[3] It previously had a headquarters in another facility in Miyazaki City.[4] The headquarters later moved to the SNA Center (SNAセンター SNA Sentā) in the Again Building (アゲインビル Agein Biru?) in Miyazaki.[5]

Fleet Notes

On September 30, 2014, Solaseed Air stored their last remaining 737-400 aircraft, becoming a 737-800 only operator.[8]

In December 2015, Solaseed Air defered 3 737-800 in 2016 and 5 other in 2017. It hopes that Solaseed would have all 737 with Split winglets from 2016.
