List of Sons of Anarchy episodes

The sixth season of the American television drama series Sons of Anarchy created by Kurt Sutter about the lives of a close-knit outlaw motorcycle club operating in Charming, a fictional town in California's Central Valley. The show centers on protagonist Jackson "Jax" Teller (Charlie Hunnam), the president of the club, who begins questioning the club and himself.

Season Six aired from September 10 through December 10, 2013.[1] The season finale was the second-most watched episode of the season and the most-watched finale in the series history.[2]

Plot

Following Tara and Clay's arrests, Jax struggles to hold SAMCRO together. Former U.S. Marshal Lee Toric approaches Tara and Clay individually, and offers them deals in exchange for giving up SAMCRO. Both initially refuse, but Clay later relents when confronted with being thrown into the prison's general population and assuredly being killed by inmates paid off by Damon Pope's men in retaliation for Pope's murder.

Juice returns to Charming after helping Bobby relocate, after Bobby has stepped down as VP. Juice's continued membership in the club angers Chibs, who doesn't believe Juice has been punished enough for stealing from the club for cops, talking to cops, and killing a member. Chibs later beats Juice. The Club also deals with a group of Iranian torture porn filmmakers who abused Lyla; as the conflict heats up, cops show up and arrest everyone; the SAMCRO members are handed off to a crooked cop who cuts deals with the locals, agrees with SAMCRO that the torture porn has to go, and has the Iranians evicted. As Tig releases the torture porn director, the man tells Tig about his murdered daughter crying out for her father while being raped. Tig then snaps and drowns the man in a bathtub filled with urine.

The premiere ends with a preadolescent boy, seen periodically throughout the episode, who approaches a school and pulls a machine pistol out of his backpack. He loads the weapon and enters the school; shortly thereafter screams and gunfire are heard. SAMCRO has been targeted as a culprit in this shooting, as the club supplied the weapon.

Jax finds out that the shooting at the Catholic school was due to the KG-9's he had shipped out, while Nero tells him the kid, Matthew, was his cousin Arcadio's girl friend's son. Jax goes to Galen to get out of the gun smuggling business, but because of the shooting, Galen is convinced that the guns would sell at a higher price. In county, Toric brings Clay an agreement to cooperate. He explains he's much more interested in retribution than justice. He offers Clay help with the bogus Pope murder charge, immunity from club charges and witness protection anywhere in the world. Clay doesn't agree, so Toric signs it himself, forging Clay's signature. Gemma suggests to Nero that they get Arcadio and Darvany out of their house and into SAMCRO's safe house. When they get there, Darvany tries to escape with Arcadio, but Nero is forced to kill his own cousin. A loathing Jax gets Juice to drug and kill Darvany. On the road, Bobby adds another member to join SAMCRO.

Tara finds out she's pregnant and tells Gemma. She then leaves papers regarding the pregnancy on the table so Jax can find them. When he does, they make love.

Instead of Clay being killed in jail, the inmates who might have loyalty to Pope's people instead tell him to commit a jail rec-yard stabbing. Jax and the ex-cop-turned-gangster settle the score with the Iranians. Toric accidentally shoots a Diosa hooker that he brought back to his motel room. Telling the dead corpse that he'll make her death matter, he takes hair and blood samples, puts them in Nero's truck, and drives the corpse out to the middle of the desert, where it is found by San Joaquin police. Jax sends Tig back to the warehouse where they stored stuff that they stole from the Iranians. Tig is waiting for Jax, but August Marx, Damon Pope associate, shows up.

Toric takes Clay to visit Otto, where Clay slips him a shiv. Toric gives Otto a pad to write down the sins of SAMCRO, but Otto instead writes an insulting remark about Toric's sister and then kills him. The guards then kill Otto. Jax exacts revenge against some Nazi skinheads, killing them, and planting the guns on their rural property. He then burns down their house, making it look like an internal beef. Galen is enraged that Jax wants out of the guns, and Galen goes to Oswald's lumber barn. There he shoots and dismembers SAMCRO member Phil, and V-Lin, a SAMCRO prospect. Jax has the Redwood members bring their loved ones to the clubhouse for protection from the IRA. The Sheriff orders Toric's personnel file, suspecting Toric is up to no good. The Sheriff lets Nero go home, but Nero's truck remains impounded.

Gemma confides to Wendy that she always thought Wendy was better for Jax than Tara. Tara confides to Wendy that Wendy should take care of the kids if Tara goes to prison. Samcro hunts down Galen and his crew, capturing a few guys. The IRA elders in Ireland don't like Jax's retaliation, but Jax tries to convince them that Galen is out of control and trying to profiteer for himself. Jax tells the IRA elders that Marks will be a solid customer for the arms shipments, despite being black. The elders agree and tell Jax to call them back at a specific time that same night to solidify the deal, but they request that all the Redwood members be present at the clubhouse during the phone agreement. Two minutes before making the call, Jax notices a pen belonging to one of Galen's crew members, which he is told was delivered to the clubhouse with a keg of beer by an Irish deliveryman. Realizing the keg is a bomb, Jax has everyone evacuate the clubhouse just in time before it is destroyed.

Jax puts a call out to the West Coast charters of SAMCRO to have them all meet in Eden to discuss getting out of the gun business. On their way over to the meeting, the Charming chapter is pulled over by dirty cops, but they escape. At the summit, Jax announces the end to the gun business with the IRA, and is met with agreement and approval. Bobby brings in new members to the Charming chapter. The state attorney still threatens to prosecute Tara unless she testifies against SOA. The Sheriff searches the deceased Lee Toric's motel room and leaves convinced of Nero's innocence.

Tara is more determined to make a break from Gemma, though possibly not from Jax. Tara fakes an assault, and gets a restraining order against Gemma.

The DA leaks a story to the press of who the possible suppliers of the gun in the school shooting are and the story ends up on the front page of the town's paper. An unknown man runs down and kills a Byz-Lat in the middle of street in the presence of Jax and other club members. While the Byz-Lats attempt to kill him, Jax intervenes upon discovering that the man's son was killed in the school shooting and that the story in the paper was what made him kill the Byz-Lat. Police arrive at the man's house only to witness him commit suicide because he feels he no longer has a purpose in life. Nero, still in jail, decides to give himself up as the source of the gun rather than blame the SOA. Patterson accepts his confession at first but later relents after seeing the effect the story she leaked had (the father committing suicide). She sets Nero free after it is forensically proven that Toric killed Erin Byrne.

Jax learns some bitter truths and takes a vote. Clay's escape plan is in motion. Tara's plan brings about some unexpected results.

Jax apologizes to Gemma and Nero for what happened with Tara after he discovers the truth. After Clay locks down almost all of SAMCRO's gun customers only one, the Italian Cacuzza family, is left waiting to close on the deal. Jax and the Irish meet with Jimmy Cacuzza to ensure that they're onboard with Clay being the new distributor. In an attempt to secure them as customers, the Irish attack the Chinese (Lin), leaving SAMCRO in a very compromising position. After the meet, SAMCRO is kidnapped by the Chinese who demand the Sons hand over the business and territory or else. The Chinese keep Happy as insurance that Jax will honor their demand. Tara catches Jax in bed with Collette and leaves angrily. Enraged at everything that's gone on she decides to try to make a deal with DA Patterson, but Patterson refuses, stating that the deal is no longer on the table. Clay gets broken out during his prison transfer and Bobby gets shot in the process. Jax exacts his revenge on the Irish and Clay for past wrongdoings. Patterson is unhappy with the way Jax upheld his end of the deal and makes it seem as if she's going to throw that deal out. Tara contemplates making a deal of her own to stay out of jail and get herself and her sons out of Charming for good.

As Jax reaches the verge of getting SAMCRO permanently out of the gun business, Tara makes a bold move to protect her children. Juice's guilt leads Nero to the truth about Darvany's death. Mr. Wu's revenge on the Irish comes with unexpected consequences. After finding out The Sons are handing over the gun business to August Marks, Alvarez reaches out to Nero.

Jax's search for Tara and his children leads him to make a difficult decision to turn himself in, take blame for the gun used in the school shooting, and go to prison in order to ensure Tara remains free to take care of their children. Jax and Tara make up and proclaim their love for one another. Nero confronts Jax over Juice's role in Darvany's murder. Alvarez and Henry Lin form a pact against the One Niners, which threatens to shut down SAMCRO's business in Stockton. Gemma learns from Wayne that there is some paperwork being filed for Jax to go to prison. She and Wayne mistakenly believe that Tara made a deal with the DA. Gemma takes matters into her own hands and steals Wayne's truck to go to Tara and Jax's house. When Tara is escorted there by Lieutenant Roosevelt, she finds Gemma in the house. Gemma attacks and kills Tara before being discovered by Roosevelt who is shocked and explains that Tara did not make a deal and that Jax was turning himself in to protect Tara. Just before he can call the murder in, Juice shoots him several times and helps Gemma escape and removes the murder weapons. Jax later enters the house (after Juice and Gemma have left) and finds Tara's body---he breaks down crying just as the DA enters and sees the gruesome scene.
