Strawberry tree

Strawberry tree is a common name for Arbutus unedo, a tree with edible fruits, native to western Europe and the Mediterranean basin, and cultivated in other temperate areas

Strawberry tree may also refer to other trees with edible fruits:

  • Arbutus, the genus in the Ericaceae family to which Arbutus unedo belongs, native to Europe and temperate North America
  • Muntingia calabura in the Malvaceae family, native to the American tropics
  • Myrica rubra in the Myricaceae family, referred to as the Chinese strawberry tree
