Stuart Hall is a British multi-instrumentalist from the UK. He is equally renowned for his talent on violin, guitar and double bass, and several less mainstream string instruments such as the oud, pedal steel, bouzouki, saz, banjo, kemence, tres, lyra & gudulka.

He has recorded with Lol Coxhill, Human Chain,[1] Django Bates,[2] Steve Arguelles,[3] Billy Jenkins, Frevo, Orquestra Mahatma,[4] Martin Speake’s Fever Pitch, Alec & John Dankworth’s Generation Big Band. His credits include Tim Berne and Hungry Ants

He has worked with Loose Tubes, Hermeto Pascoal, and the Ritz Tea Dance Band. He performs medieval music in Belinda Sykes' Joglaresa, and formed the Hermetologists, playing the music of Hermeto Pascoal, with Huw Warren, Eddie Parker and Martin France.

Teaching

He joined the faculty of the Jamey Aebersold Jazz Summer School in 1999. He is the leader of the BA Jazz Course at Middlesex University. Here he taught the renowned rock violinist Joolz who went on to put the violin in the mainstream of rock music, using the techniques learnt from Stuart Hall. He has also taught at the Royal Academy of Music.
