Sunanda Murali Manohar is a film producer based in London, England. She has produced over 25 feature films for South Asian and Western audiences. She is best known for her films Jeans,Jodi,Minnale, Majnu,Judgement,Thambi,Dhaam Dhoom,Mirattal in Tamil, Indian summer (1986),Blood stone 1988 and Provoked in English, Ramji London wale in Hindi.

Her father Mr. R.N. Manddre built the first airconditioned theater (Sangam Theater) in Bangalore and Mysore.Grown up in an environment where her father was also a popular distributor for Hindi films,in Karnataka.(From Aradhana to Khal nayak.He has distributed over 350 films in a span of 50 years in the industry.Sunanda learned the tricks of the trade from her father very early.

By virtue of marriage to Dr J Murali Manohar she continued to do film distribution in Madras alongside her husband who started his career as a medical doctor and moved to the Media Business in 1985.

Since then, in 1987 she launched a distribution office in Chennai to distribute various Hindi films (including blockbusters like Pardes, Taal and Sarfarosh) in Tamil Nadu and Kerela. Sunanda then developed into producing feature films and continues to do so. Over the course of her career she collaborated with the likes of Mr Rajinikanth, Aishwarya Rai, Shankar, Madhavan, A R Rahman, Deepika Padukone and Bryan Adams.[citation needed]

As well as producing feature films and specialising in international co-productions, Sunanda launched a 24 Hour Tamil Satellite Channel SUN WORLD TELEVISION in the United States in 1998 and a 24 Hour Tamil Satellite Channel SOUTH FOR YOU in the United Kingdom and Ireland in the year 2000, which ran for over 10 years.

Currently Sunanda is producing Kochadaiyaan with Dr J Murali Manohar. This will be India's first Photo-realistic Motion Capture film starring Mr Rajinikanth and Deepika Padukone amongst other actors of the South Asian Film Industry. The film is directed by Soundarya R. Ashwin with music from A R Rahman and has technical collaborators from London, Hong Kong, USA, China and India. Actress Sharmeila Mandre is her niece.
