Talkback is a division of the television production company FremantleMedia. It was established as an independent production company in 1981 by Mel Smith and Griff Rhys Jones.[1]
History
The company merged with Thames Television in 2003, and the combined entity was renamed Talkback Thames. In November 2011, it was announced that Talkback Thames would be split into four different branded divisions. Talkback was focused on comedy, and Thames was focused on entertainment programming. Two new brands, Boundless and Retort, were launched.[2]
