Tamarixia radiata is an hymenopteran wasp discovered in the area of northwestern India (Punjab).[1]
Description
The adults are 0.92 to 1.04 mm long with widely separated eyes and pale yellow veined wings. Males have slightly shorter wings and longer antennae than females.
T. radiata is an effective ectoparasitoid of the Asian citrus psyllid, a vector of the bacterial pathogen causing huanglongbing (HLB) disease in citrus. The females would lay one to two eggs below Diaphorina citri and the larvae would feed on the host.
