Bristol News (branded on air as #BristolNews) is a local television news and current affairs programme, covering Bristol and surrounding areas. Produced by Made in Bristol, the programme airs at 6pm and 9pm every weekday evening.

Overview

Bristol News focuses exclusively on news stories from the Bristol area, as opposed to the broader regional news services provided by BBC West and ITV West Country.[1] First broadcast in October 2014 as The 6 and The 9, the programme was rebranded as Bristol News on 5 April 2016.

The twice-nightly programme is presented by Made in Bristol's station manager Chris James, alongside videojournalists Ellie Pitt, Tom Richell, Ed Carter and Rachael Clarke. The station's newsroom is based at the Abbey Wood Business Park in the Filton suburb of Bristol and works in conjunction with the South West News Service.[2]

An hour-long weekly review edition of Bristol News airs on Saturdays and Sundays at 6pm.
