The Accountant is an upcoming American action thriller film directed by Gavin O'Connor and written by Bill Dubuque. The film stars Ben Affleck, Anna Kendrick, J.K. Simmons, Jon Bernthal, Jeffrey Tambor and John Lithgow. The film is set to be released by Warner Bros. on October 14, 2016.

Premise

Christian "Chris" Wolff is a math savant and accountant who has more affinity for numbers than he has for people. Behind the cover of a small-town CPA office, he works as a freelance sleeper assassin for some of the world's most dangerous criminal organizations. With the Treasury Department's CED (Crime Enforcement Division) starting to close in on him, Wolff takes on a legitimate client: a state-of-the-art robotics company where an accounting clerk has discovered a discrepancy involving millions of dollars. But as Christian un-cooks the books and gets closer to the truth, it is the body count that starts to rise.
