The Dream of a Summer Day was a play, collaboratively written by Storytellers Theatre Company, that was performed at select locations around Ireland in March, April and May 2005, by [1][2]
It dealt with the life and some of the writings of Lafcadio Hearn, from his father Charles Hearn's arrival in Greece, right up to his death and Buddhist funeral in Japan. Weaved into it were dramatisations of four of the kwaidan (ghost stories) he either wrote or translated while in Japan.[1]
