The Salesman (Persian: فروشنده Forushandeh) is an Iranian-French drama film directed by Asghar Farhadi. It was selected to compete for the Palme d'Or at the 2016 Cannes Film Festival. At Cannes, Shahab Hosseini won the award for Best Actor and Asghar Farhadi won the award for Best Screenplay.
