Thomas Wieser

Thomas Wieser (born 1954 in Bethesda, Maryland, United States) is an American and Austrian economist. He is the president of Economic and Financial Committee (EFC)[1] of the European Union as well as the president of the Eurogroup Working Group, an advisory body to the Eurogroup,[2] which in turn is a body that meets one day before the Economic and Financial Affairs Council (ECOFIN) council and pre-agrees all Ecofin's decisions on eurozone affairs.[3]
