Time is the 16th studio album by British/American rock band Fleetwood Mac, released in 1995. This album features a unique line-up for the band featuring the addition of former Traffic guitarist Dave Mason and country vocalist Bekka Bramlett, daughter of Delaney and Bonnie, to the line-up. Lindsey Buckingham, who had left Fleetwood Mac in 1987, makes an appearance as a backing vocalist on one track (he made a similar cameo appearance on the band's previous album, Behind the Mask), but Time is the first and only Fleetwood Mac album since 1974's Heroes Are Hard to Find not to feature any contribution from Stevie Nicks. The album also featured drummer Mick Fleetwood's first lead vocal on the seven-minute "These Strange Times", produced by Duran Duran producer John Jones, and written with Beach Boys co-writer Ray Kennedy. The band never undertook a worldwide tour in support of the album,although the band (without Christine McVie) toured from July to the end of December 1994, and again from April to September 1995.[2] The album was released on October 10, 1995.
Within a year this line-up had collapsed with Mason, Bramlett and Billy Burnette all leaving the band, but Bramlett and Burnette recorded the Bekka & Billy album together in 1997, the same year Lindsey Buckingham and Stevie Nicks rejoined Fleetwood Mac.
The album failed to chart on the Billboard Top 200, becoming Fleetwood Mac's first album not to chart on it. As of 2014, The album has sold over 85,000 copies in the U.S. alone making it Fleetwood Mac's least successful album commercially.[3]
