Toy & Wing
From Infogalactic: the planetary knowledge core
Toy & Wing was an American tap dance duo comprising Dorothy Takahashi (stage name Dorothy Toy) and Tony Costa (stage name Tony Wing).[1][2] They were billed as the Chinese Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers,[3] though Toy was of Japanese descent and Wing was of Chinese, Filipino, Portuguese, and Spanish descent.[1][4] Active in the 1930s and 1940s, they were the first Asian Americans to enter the white American tap dance scene.[5]
