Trinity Presbyterian Church (PCA), founded in 1976, is a church located in Charlottesville, Virginia.[1] The current senior pastor is Greg Thompson.

Purpose

Trinity Presbyterian Church is a community that seeks to share in God's renewal of all things—relationship with God, ourselves, others, and the world—through the gospel of Jesus Christ. Trinity's core convictions, which flow out of the historic Christian, reformed, and evangelical traditions, include the following: proclaiming the gospel, worshiping God, transforming people, healing relationships, serving neighbors, renewing culture, and strengthening churches.

History

Trinity's first worship service was held August 1, 1976, and the church entered the PCA in 1977. Greg Thompson became Trinity's third senior pastor in 2006,[2] following founding senior pastor Joseph (Skip) Ryan and John Q. Hall, Jr.

In 1997, Trinity planted a sister church, Grace Community Church, in Charlottesville. In 2013, worship services began to be held for a second church plant, Hope Presbyterian, in Crozet, VA.
