Tsuchizaki Station (土崎駅 Tsuchizaki-eki?) is a railway station in Akita, Akita, Japan, operated by the East Japan Railway Company (JR East).

Lines

Tsuchizaki Station is served by the Ōu Main Line, and is located 292.3 km from the starting point of the line at Fukushima Station.[citation needed]

Tsuchizaki Station has a single side platform and a single island platform, connected to the station building by an overpass.

History

Tsuchizaki Station opened on 21 October 1902.[1] The station was absorbed into the JR East network upon the privatization of JNR on 1 April 1987.

In fiscal 2012, the station was used by an average of 2,285 passengers daily (boarding passengers only).[2]
