Alan Turing (1912–1954) was a British mathematician, logician, cryptanalyst, and computer scientist.

  • Turing machine, an abstract symbol-manipulating device invented by Alan Turing
  • Church-Turing thesis, an hypothesis about the nature of computation (i.e., that anything computable can be computed by a Turing machine)
