Twickenham Academy (formerly Whitton School) is a co-educational secondary school and Sixth Form with academy status located in Whitton, Twickenham, London, England.

Originally called Whitton School,[1] [2] it reopened as Twickenham Academy in September 2010.[3][4][5] The school is run by the Learning Schools Trust, which has three other academies; one in nearby Hampton, and the others in Ipswich and Northamptonshire.

In September 2012, Twickenham Academy became the first secondary school in Richmond to open a sixth form.[6]

Twickenham Academy specialises in sports and digital technology and uses the Kunskapsskolan method of teaching which is based on stage rather than age ability. Personalised learning, setting goals and the belief that each child learns at their own pace are fundamental to the teaching method.[7]

A major rebuild began in the summer of 2011 and students and staff moved into their new £24 million building in July 2013.
