The UPMC Center for Health Security (formerly Center for Biosecurity of UPMC) is an independent, nonprofit organization of the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center works to protect people's health from the consequences of epidemics and disasters and to ensure that communities are resilient to major challenges.[1]

Change of name

On April 30, 2013, the Center for Biosecurity of UPMC changed its name to UPMC Center for Health Security.
