PCU Daniel Inouye (DDG-118) is a future Arleigh Burke-class destroyer of the United States Navy. She is named to honor former Sen. Daniel Inouye, D-Hawaii. Inouye was awarded the Medal of Honor for his actions in Tuscany, Italy, during World War II and later became a U.S. senator. Daniel Inouye will be the 3rd of 8 planned Flight IIA "technology insertion" ships, which will contain elements of the Flight III ships projected to begin with DDG-124.
