VASSAL does not run on Android. The current version is 3.2.17.
It is written in Java and is available from SourceForge under the LGPL open source license.[1]

History
VASSAL began as VASL (Virtual Advanced Squad Leader), an application for playing Advanced Squad Leader.[2] It was created by Rodney Kinney, and was given its name by Vox Day, a game designer who was an early supporter of VASL.
Available modules
As of December 2016, VASSAL modules for more than 1,879 games were available, a few of which are listed here. A more comprehensive, but not exhaustive, list of game modules exists on the VASSAL module site list. The game modules are primarily created by volunteers, although some have been created by the original game publishers. Some publishers, such as Decision Games and GMT Games, offer VASSAL modules free of charge in their online stores.
