Vil Mirzayanov

Vil Mirzayanov was a Russian chemist who now lives in the United States.
Mirzayanov was employed by the State Research Institute of Organic Chemistry and Technology. He was fired and imprisoned on charges of treason for having revealed the existence of illegal chemical weapons experimentation in Russia contravening the 1990 Chemical Weapons Accord and Wyoming Memorandum of Understanding. Later he also accused Russia of violating Chemical Weapons Convention. He was released because the details he had released were already known.
