A few years later, the church dedicated a 500-seat sanctuary and continued to grow rapidly. After Rev. Leonard retired, Village Seven called Dr. Bernard Kuiper as pastor (1979). In 1992, the church dedicated a new 1550-seat sanctuary. The church grew to 1,300 communicant members. Rev. Joseph Wheat become senior pastor in 1998. Rev. Wheat eventually moved to a PCA church in Mississippi, and the church called Rev. Mark Bates as senior pastor. Today Village Seven averages 1,600 in worship attendance.[4]

Village Seven is deeply involved in missions, both overseas and within the United States. Members also support a number of outreach ministries within the Colorado Springs area, and continue with a program of starting new churches.

The church's vision is to make, equip and deploy disciples who live out and proclaim the gospel through word and deed in Colorado Springs, the West and the World.
