Prior to 2 January 2006 the station was dubbed "98.3 The Rose" and operated with an Adult Contemporary format. Currently, they are focused on playing a wide variety of genres (hence their slogan "Playin' It All") such as new wave, pop, rock, and hip hop. Current on air personalities include Eric Michaels, the MAX morning show host with side-kick Mike Lee.
