Warlock Records

Warlock Records is a record label based in New York City that was founded by Adam Levy in the late 1970s.[1] Warlock Records was also known as Streetwise Records. Artists that once recorded for Warlock Records included Bloods & Crips, Tweedy Bird Loc C-Bo Esham and Reel Life Productions ,[2] the Tuff Crew, Jungle Brothers, Blac Haze, Juvenile and Todd Terry. In 1992, the label acquired the catalog of Sleeping Bag Records and its sub-label Fresh Records. In 2006, several titles were licensed to Traffic Entertainment Group. The latter now distributes all of Warlock's catalog including Tuff Crew: Dj Too Tuff's Lost Archives 2008.

In September 2009, Warlock Records was acquired by Phase One Network, which has licensed songs to various television shows, commercials, video games, and movies including the following:

  • Sex and the City
  • Entourage
  • I Think I Love My Wife
  • Grand Theft Auto 3
  • Hot Chick
  • DJ Hero
