The 1956 Northwestern Wildcats team represented Northwestern University during the 1956 college football season. In their first year under head coach Ara Parseghian, the Wildcats compiled a 4-4-1 record (3-3-1 against Big Ten Conference opponents), finished in sixth place in the Big Ten, and were outscored by their opponents by a combined total of 112 to 107.[1]
