League Rules

Procedure

There were 18 participating clubs in the 2010 A Championship - 5 first team sides, as well as the reserve sides from 10 Premier Division clubs and 3 First Division clubs. These teams were geographically split into 2 groups of 9 teams each.

Teams received three points for a win and one point for a draw. No points were awarded for a loss. Teams were ranked by total points, then goal difference and then goals scored. If there was equality in points, goal difference and goals for tallies, the clubs involved took part in a play-off to decide their finishing positions.

The top team in each group qualified for the championship play-offs.

First team sides could qualify for a promotion play-off by finishing in the top 3 of their respective groups.
