Presidential elections will be held in the Czech Republic in 2018, the second time the president has been elected directly. Incumbent president Miloš Zeman is eligible to run for a second term.

Potential candidates

He indicated in February 2015 that he possibly won't run for re-election but noted that he will decide one year prior the election.[1]
75px Zdeněk Škromach Politician, former government minister (2002-2004) Škromach announced plans to run in February 2015. He plans to gain support for his plans within his party, the ČSSD.[2]
75px Tomáš Halík Intellectual, Roman Catholic priest, scholar When Zdeněk Škromach mentioned possibility of his candidature for the first time, Halík said - "If the country would to be represented by Škromach "in a pool",[note 1] then I would have to run too."[3]
