A Girl Like Her is a feature length American mockumentary-drama film by Amy S. Weber. The film stars Lexi Ainsworth as Jessica Burns, a bullied high school student who attempts suicide. She is constantly targeted by Avery Keller (Hunter King), her ex-friend, who denies the bullying. The whole movie is meant to be a documentary done by Amy. She goes around and interviews many of the students about Jessica's suicide attempt. All the rumors are led to saying Avery bullied Jessica to her attempt. Avery is then in the principal's office because her friends made a written letter saying she harassed Jessica, but denies everything even in front of her parents. She claims she was only "joking around". Jessica's friend Brian (Jimmy Bennett) reveals that the bullying started six months ago and, trying to help, he recommended documenting Jessica's moments of being bullied at school in a way that would keep her safe. He gave Jessica a hidden camera in form of a dragonfly pin. Consequently, every moment of bullying was recorded, preventing Avery from denying it. Amy later comes up to Avery and asks if she wants to see the footage and meets her at her house later. When Avery saw the footage, she cried, confessed her act and said she had no other good friend but Jessica and instead of being good she bullied her. She didn't have any other true friends besides Jessica. It's too late to apologize to Jessica. As a result of her suicide attempt, she's at the hospital suffering from multiple organ failure. Avery is making a video near the end about how she is so sorry about bullying Jessica and how it wasn't a joke, she then states her name and says that she is a bully. The film ends with Jessica opening her eyes.
