A Lady and Gentleman in Black is a painting by the Dutch artist Rembrandt, painted in 1633. The oil-on-canvas painting measures 131.6 by 109 centimetres (51.8 in × 42.9 in).[1] The painting hung in the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum of Boston, Massachusetts, prior to being stolen in 1990.

Provenance
Bernard Berenson purchased the painting on behalf of Isabella Stewart Gardner.[2]
The painting hung in the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum of Boston, Massachusetts, United States, prior to being stolen on March 18, 1990. To this day, the painting has not resurfaced.[3]
A $5-million reward is offered for the return of the stolen items.[3]
