Airborne Launch Control Center

The United States' Airborne Launch Control Center (ALCC) is a component of the Airborne Launch Control System, the emergency back-up means of launching the United States' ICBM force. Specifically, the ALCC is defined as the station located aboard the ALCS aircraft from which missile preparation and launch commands may be sent to accessed LGM-30 Minuteman missile launch facilities (LFs).
