Al Joseph Woods (born March 25, 1987) is an American football nose tackle for the Tennessee Titans of the National Football League. He was drafted by the New Orleans Saints in the fourth round of the 2010 NFL Draft. He played college football at LSU.

Woods has also been a member of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Seattle Seahawks, Pittsburgh Steelers, and Tennessee Titans.

Professional career

Pre-draft

Woods was projected to be drafted in the third round of the 2010 NFL Draft by NFLDraftScout.com.[1]

New Orleans Saints

Woods was drafted by the New Orleans Saints in the fourth round (123rd overall) of the 2010 NFL Draft. He signed a four-year contract on July 15, 2010.[2] He was released on September 4, 2010.

Pittsburgh Steelers

On September 7, 2010, Woods was signed to the Pittsburgh Steelers' practice squad.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers

On November 2, 2010, Woods was signed off the Steelers' practice squad by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.[3] He was cut on September 3, 2011.

Seattle Seahawks

Woods was claimed off waivers by the Seattle Seahawks on September 4, 2011.[4] He was waived on November 8.[5]

Second Stint with Steelers

Woods with the Steelers in the 2013 season.

The Pittsburgh Steelers claimed him off of waivers on November 9, 2011. Woods played in three games during the 2012 season.[6]

Tennessee Titans

Woods signed with the Tennessee Titans on March 12, 2014.[7][8]
