The American College of Orgonomy (ACO) is a nonprofit organization with the self-stated purpose of advancing research in the study of orgonomy,[1] a pseudoscientific field[2][3][4][5] originally developed by the former psychoanalyst Wilhelm Reich. Reich asked his student and colleague, Elsworth Baker, to carry the study of orgonomy forward. In response, Baker founded the ACO in 1968.[6][7]

The American College of Orgonomy is based near Princeton, New Jersey, USA.[1] It holds an orgonomic conference every fall, and regional talks on various topics related to orgonomy.[citation needed] The ACO offers training and education in the field of social orgonomy for those interested. Standards in the field of orgonomy are created and maintained by the ACO as well. A medical orgonomy training program is offered for qualified physicians and psychiatrists who are interested in becoming orgone therapists. In addition to the Journal of Orgonomy, the ACO publishes books of orgonomic interest.[1][non-primary source needed]
