"Angel, Angel Down We Go Together"
Song

"Angel, Angel Down We Go Together" is a song performed by Morrissey on his album Viva Hate.

Recorded with a string section, this short track lyrically consists of the narrator pleading with his subject not to give up on himself as he will always be able to turn to the singer. The track ends with the heartfelt lines "I love you more than life". Morrissey said that the song was written with his former Smiths co-writer Johnny Marr in mind.

The song was performed live by Morrissey on his 1991 tour.

The song's title appears to reference the AIP 1969 film Angel, Angel, Down We Go (a.k.a. Cult of the Damned).
