ArmeniaNow is an independent[1][2] online news publication[3][4] based in Yerevan, Armenia. It is published in English and Armenian It was founded in July 2002.[5] It has been recognized as one of the principal web periodicals in Armenia.[6] ArmeniaNow has a staff of 20 journalists with John Hughes as its editor-in-chief.[7][8] Hughes is an American[9] and a progressive.[10]

ArmeniaNow has been cited by various authors and political analysts[11][12][13][14] and international organizations such as Human Rights Watch,[15][16] Amnesty International,[17] and Freedom House.[18]
