Awa Province (Tokushima)

Awa Province (阿波国 Awa-no kuni?) was an old province of Japan in the area that is today a part of Tokushima Prefecture on Shikoku.[1] Awa was bordered by Tosa, Sanuki, and Iyo Provinces. It was sometimes called Ashū (阿州?) .
