Bruna Caram (born July 26, 1987) is a Brazilian singer, songwriter and musician.

Career

Bruna's musical influence comes from the crib. Her maternal grandmother, Maria Piedade was a radio singer in the '50s. Her paternal grandfather, Jamil Caram is a guitarist. Bruna grew up surrounded by singers, composers and instrumentalists of all kinds. She studied piano since age of 7. Starting at the age of nine she won for an entire decade, as part of the Trovadores Mirins and then of the Trovadores Urbanos, in left field and valuable mileage in contact with the most diverse audiences. In 2005 she won the award 'Festival Interunesp 2005 de Ilha Solteira'.

The first album, released in December 2006 was called Essa Menina (This Girl). The album is a mixture of ballads, blues, pop and bossa nova. The songs were composed by Otávio Toledo and his musical partners, José Carlos Costa Netto and Juca Novaes. In Japan, the title track reached high on major radio playlists: among the 50 most played songs on radio J-Wave. The song Palavras do Coração (Words of the Heart) reached heavy rotation on Brazilian radio.

Bruna has achieved, in 2010, a degree in music at São Paulo State University (Unesp).

Her second album, Feriado Pessoa (Personal Holiday) was released in 2009. The title track is written by Bruna. Other songs are written by Lô Borges (Quem Sabe Isso Quer Dizer Amor), Guilherme Arantes (Cuide-se Bem) and Caetano Veloso (Gatas Extraordinárias). Samba fused with melancholy lyrics and melodies pit, Bruna thinks the scenario is already well filled. I love sounds to cry, but I think the public is missing songs to feel good, to forget that grey and chaotic environment in which we live she explains. It's music for a sunny day on vacation.[1]

Bruna's third album, Será Bem-Vindo Qualquer Sorriso (Will Welcome Any Smile) was released on November 16, 2012. In this album she wants to leave her comfort zone: I want the audience to know me completely.[2]
