The following is a list of episodes from Cobra Kai, an American comedy-drama streaming television series based on The Karate Kid film series created by Robert Mark Kamen.[1] The first two seasons of the series were released on YouTube Red / YouTube Premium,[2] while the latest three seasons have been released on Netflix.[3]

As of September 9, 2022, 50 episodes of Cobra Kai have been released, concluding the fifth season.[4] On January 20, 2023, the series was renewed for a sixth and final season.[5]

Following a brief fight, Kreese tries to convince Johnny to allow him to rejoin Cobra Kai but Johnny refuses due to their history in the originals. Carmen notices Miguel's darker nature during the fight but still approves of Johnny training him. Robby learns about the history of Miyagi-Do, and Daniel plans to open up a dojo, to his wife's reluctance, as Johnny scolds Miguel and Hawk on their dishonorable techniques at the tournament, although he was the one who taught them such techniques in the first place. Daniel brings Sam into his Karate dojo, while Johnny tries to patch things up with Robby. But Robby, who believes Johnny had his students fight dirty against him, humiliatingly rejects him by claiming that Daniel is a better father to him than Johnny ever was. Kreese finally apologizes and convinces Johnny to let him join Cobra Kai as an assistant sensei.

Miguel tries reaching out to Sam to no avail, while Daniel begins training Robby and Sam, but Amanda calls him out for caring more about teaching Karate than doing his job. Johnny continues to use harsh methods to train his students, including forcing them to move a full cement truck to train their leg strength, impressing Kreese. Daniel invites Robby to move in with him after seeing the state of his home, although Amanda reminds him Johnny is still around. Daniel goes to confront Johnny in the Cobra Kai dojo, where Kreese mockingly offers his condolences on Mr. Miyagi's death and warns Daniel that their fight is "inevitable."

Johnny uses a computer for the first time and sees a Miyagi-Do ad on YouTube where Daniel is promoting Miyagi-Do Karate for free, inspiring Johnny to do the same for Cobra Kai. Two teenagers want to join Miyagi-do, but when Daniel tells them to wax on and off the fence, they decide to join Cobra Kai instead. Meanwhile, Miguel learns that Robby is Johnny's son and confronts Johnny about it, who confides in him that on the day Robby was born, he wasn't there for him because his mother (at the time the only person Johnny cared about) had passed away. Afraid of being a father, he failed Robby on his first day and vows to never fail Miguel. When Daniel, Sam, and Robby perform their Miyagi-Do demonstration, Cobra Kai intervenes with their own demonstration, which outshines Miyagi-Do's, making them more popular.

Demetri, seeing that all his friends have taken up karate, goes to Cobra Kai, where he gets beaten by Kreese, and ultimately joins Miyagi-do instead. Later, in the Cobra Kai dojo, new student Tory proves to be Miguel's equal, eventually bonding with both Miguel and Aisha. Miguel tries to tell Johnny his worries about Kreese's influence, but Johnny reassures him that everyone deserves a second chance. Daniel tries to convince other people to join Miyagi-do but fails, while Sam develops a feud with Tory, who embarrassed her at a party. Robby tries to stage a fight with his former friends to convince people to join Miyagi-Do but is hit in the back of the head, though Daniel arrives to save him. Robby recorded the fight, but Daniel asks him not to upload it, explaining that students should join Miyagi-do out of necessity.

Demetri reveals that he wants to learn karate to stand up to Eli, who has been starting to bully him. Hawk sees a Yelp review of Demetri giving Cobra Kai a negative rating and goes to confront him at the mall, but Sam and Robby arrive to defeat Hawk and the other Cobra Kais. Demetri eventually improves his karate skills, while Moon, Hawk's girlfriend, breaks up with Hawk for his violent behavior. Later, Kreese convinces a vengeful Hawk to vandalize Daniel's dojo. Meanwhile, Miguel starts a romantic relationship with Tory. Miguel's mother Carmen convinces Johnny, still heartbroken over Robby and Daniel's fatherly relationship, to let go of his rivalry. The next day, a horrified Daniel discovers the destruction of Miyagi-Do, Mr. Miyagi's Medal of Honor stolen, and the vandalization of his '48 Ford Super De Luxe and goes to Cobra Kai to confront Johnny, assuming he was involved. As a result, some students leave Cobra Kai to join Miyagi-Do.

Johnny makes everyone do burpees until someone confesses before he gets a call from one of his old friends. Both Demetri and Robby hold grudges against Chris, a new student of Miyagi-do and former Cobra Kai who attacked Demetri at the Mall. Daniel reveals that he once was part of Cobra Kai, recounting his history with Terry Silver, stating that while Cobra Kai is bad, not all students are, convincing them to end their conflicts. Johnny travels to San Bernardino where he meets up with his old Cobra Kai mates Bobby, Tommy, and Jimmy, to support Tommy who has a terminal illness, revealing to them that he reopened Cobra Kai with Kreese, with Bobby encouraging him to move on from Cobra Kai. In Johnny's absence, Kreese takes over and trains Cobra Kai to be more ruthless. Miguel calls Kreese out for it, but Kreese claims that although mercy is not beneficial in real life. Tory opens up to Miguel that her mother had to work as a waitress to support Tory and her brother, and her mom would take leftovers to feed them. However, when her mom's boss found out she got fired which led to Tory's aggressive behavior.

Kreese informs Daniel that he will be training Cobra Kai for the upcoming war against Miyagi-Do, despite Daniel's protest that they're just kids. Upon returning from his trip, Johnny takes his Cobra Kai students into the woods to participate in "Capture the Headband." Johnny becomes distraught over Tory's aggressiveness, while Miguel spots Hawk wearing Miyagi's Medal of Honor, realizing that he was the one who vandalized the Miyagi dojo. Hawk taunts Miguel on his feelings for Sam, leading to a scuffle with Miguel emerging victorious. Miguel takes the Medal of Honor, but he is ambushed and has his headband taken off by a new adult Cobra Kai student, Stingray. Johnny personally warns Miguel not to take the dark path under Kreese's influence. Later, Miguel goes to return the Medal of Honor at the LaRusso house, where Robby and Sam have started a romance. He asks Robby to return the medal to Daniel and tell Sam that he's sorry before leaving. Fearing that this will sabotage his newfound relationship with Sam, Robby keeps it a secret. After realizing that Kreese hasn't changed and is trying to corrupt students as he did in the past, Johnny expels him from Cobra Kai.

Johnny starts to fantasize about Carmen but is dismayed to meet Carmen's boyfriend. After expelling Kreese, he teaches his students to show mercy and honor. Meanwhile, Demetri finds the Medal of Honor, which Robby planted in the dojo backyard to prevent Sam from going back to Miguel, who Johnny set up a dating app. After failing miserably in his dates, Johnny sends a message to his ex Ali. At the skate mall, Miguel and Robby go on separate dates with Tory and Sam, where the tension between the two girls heats up. Daniel apologizes to his wife, while Johnny beats up Carmen's boyfriend, who was planning to dump Carmen soon, and soon asks Carmen out on a date.

Robby's mom Shannon returns, apologizing to Robby about the way she has been treating him, and reveals that her boyfriend left her and that she's going into rehab. Both Cobra Kai and Miyagi-Do kids go to a party hosted by Moon just before school begins and heavy drinking ensues during the party. The rivalry between Tory and Sam intensifies after Tory witnesses Sam drunkenly kiss Miguel after Sam finds out that Miguel returned the Medal of Honor to Robby. Hawk, outraged at Moon's new relationship with a girl named Piper, also intensifies his feud with Demetri, but the cops arrive just as the two dojos are about to fight and everyone flees the party. Elsewhere, Johnny and Carmen go on a date at a restaurant before unexpectedly seeing Daniel and Amanda arrive. While Amanda and Carmen are away, Daniel and Johnny discuss getting rid of Kreese, and Johnny finds out that Daniel has enrolled Robby in high school, much to his appreciation. The two couples bond overnight, with Daniel and Johnny seemingly putting their rivalry aside in the process. Afterward, Johnny gets a visit from Robby and a drunk Sam.

Johnny allows Robby and Sam to sleep at his place for the night after the party to hide from the LaRussos. When Daniel finds out, he goes to Johnny's apartment to get her as he and Johnny get into a fight. On the first day of school, Tory hijacks the PA system and calls out Sam for kissing Miguel at the party, shocking everyone. She then starts a fight with Sam, causing a brutal school brawl between Cobra Kai and Miyagi-Do. Sam ultimately defeats Tory, and Miguel gains the upper hand on Robby but shows him mercy. Robby takes advantage of the opportunity and kicks Miguel off the balcony, paralyzing him. Miguel is put on life support while Robby flees. As a result, Carmen immediately breaks up with Johnny and the remaining Cobra Kai students, who blame Johnny for teaching Miguel mercy and honor, join Kreese, revealing that the landlord allowed him to take over and have full ownership of the dojo during Johnny's trip. Amanda also demands Daniel to stop Miyagi-Do and karate, forcing him to dismantle the Miyagi-Do dojo while a guilt-ridden Johnny throws his phone away, unbeknownst that Ali, his and Daniel's ex-girlfriend, has sent him a friend request on Facebook.

Johnny is still trying to cope with the trauma of Miguel's accident, which ends up with him getting heavily intoxicated and later arrested and jailed after getting into a brawl fight at a bar. Meanwhile, two weeks after the school fight, the All-Valley Community is still shaken up coming to grips with the consequences, and the school has since put an anti-physical contact rule in action. Sam suffers from panic attacks and flashbacks following her fight with Tory and watching Miguel's fall accidentally caused by Robby while Johnny purposely hurts himself so he can sneak into the ICU and visit Miguel. When Daniel finds out Robby, who is expelled from school for crippling Miguel at the end of the school brawl and on the run, stole a van from the dealership, Daniel and Johnny team up to find him while Miguel finally wakes up from his coma.

Daniel and Johnny visit Shannon at her rehab center to look for Robby and are directed to visit Robby's former gang acquaintances in jail. The search eventually leads the pair to a group of thieves who have stolen the van from Robby, leading the pair to dispatch them in self-defense. However, their brief partnership ends due to Johnny continuously assaulting one of the thieves. Johnny attempts to visit the now-conscious Miguel, but Miguel, feeling betrayed, tearfully and angrily rebuffs him. Daniel finds Robby at the rehab center and has the police take him into custody in hopes of lessening his sentence, but Robby feels betrayed and cuts ties with Daniel. Meanwhile, Kreese attacks Tory's landlord so that she removes the pressure she has on taking care of her ill mother and ensures her loyalty to Cobra Kai. He also expels some students from Cobra Kai for objecting to feeding a hamster to a snake.

Johnny solicits Bobby for advice on how to help pay for Miguel's surgery and visit Robby in juvenile hall. The Miyagi-Do students, led by Sam, carry out a car wash fundraising event to help fund Miguel's surgery, only for Hawk and some Cobra Kai students to show up after the event and steal the money. Johnny reluctantly approaches Sid to ask for the money to pay for the surgery but is rebuffed, so he resorts to stealing one of Sid's valuable statues. Meanwhile, due to the school brawl incident, Daniel learns that his business rival Tom Cole has convinced Japanese car importer, Doyona International, to cut their business ties with Daniel, prompting him to visit the company headquarters in Tokyo for negotiations. Sam makes preparations for the Miyagi-Do students to fight back against Cobra Kai, while Johnny reluctantly misses his appointment to visit Robby in juvenile hall to stay with Miguel, causing Robby to feel abandoned and neglected.

Daniel is rejected by Doyona due to the school brawl incident, so he decides to travel to Okinawa, Mr. Miyagi's hometown, while Johnny tries to reconcile with Robby, who is on community service, but their conversation quickly escalates when Johnny accidentally reminds Robby that he was the one who put Miguel in the hospital. At school, Hawk instigates fights with the Miyagi-Do students in retaliation for Robby's actions against Miguel during the school brawl before being threatened with Saturday detention while the Miyagi-Do students receive detention. Daniel visits Tomi Village, which has been turned into a mall after the village's crops died out, where he is reunited with his former love interest Kumiko and unexpectedly encounters his rival Chozen. Johnny then personally oversees Miguel's physical rehabilitation.

When Miyagi-Do student Chris is attacked at his job in Golf N' Stuff by Cobra Kai, Sam and the rest of the Miyagi-Do students attack Hawk's gang at the amusement park, only to be ambushed by Tory, as Hawk breaks Demetri's right arm in the process, traumatizing Sam, who still fears Tory. Meanwhile, Daniel and Chozen reconcile after undergoing some sparring sessions, with Chozen teaching Daniel the pressure point technique and giving him a martial arts scroll as a parting gift. Daniel later meets an adult Yuna, the little girl he saved from the typhoon (in The Karate Kid Part II), learning that Yuna has become the Vice President of Sales for Doyona, as she gladly offers to let him keep the dealership's relationship with Doyona. Robby gets involved in a fight with fellow juvenile inmate Shawn and his thugs but both ultimately earn each other's respect for not snitching on each other. Johnny helps Miguel with his rehabilitation and takes him to a Dee Snider concert, allowing Miguel to regain feeling in his legs. Johnny later accepts Ali's friend request, while Amanda confronts Kreese and slaps him in retaliation for the laser tag fight instigated by Hawk and his gang, threatening to call the cops if he doesn't stop sending Cobra Kai students after Miyagi-Do.

Kreese approaches various athletes to bolster the Cobra Kai ranks, including Kyler. Daniel and Amanda attempt to file a restraining order against Kreese, but learn that Kreese has already filed one against Amanda after the confrontation. Left with no other option, they approach Armand Zarkarian with bribes in an attempt to evict Kreese, only for Armand to reluctantly void his deal with the LaRussos after a failed eviction attempt. Meanwhile, Miguel helps Johnny build up his Facebook profile to impress Ali, inadvertently meeting with Tory, who breaks up with Miguel after he disagrees with her desire for revenge against Miyagi-Do and Sam. Enraged by the whole incident, Miguel furiously calls Johnny out on his hypocrisy about abandoning people after helping them but manages to stand up in the process. Seeing the truth in Miguel's words, Johnny uploads photos of his positive accomplishments with his students and Miguel's recovery before sending Ali a heartfelt message on Facebook.

Sam has a nightmare in which she and Tory duel in the Miyagi-Do dojo, which ends with Tory drowning Sam in the Miyagi-Do pond. After days of training, Miguel can finally walk freely again. Daniel spends the day with Sam to help her overcome her fear of Tory after she confesses the panic attacks to him, even going so far as to tell her the story of how he overcame his fear with Mr. Miyagi's help when he narrowly defeated Mike Barnes during the sudden death match of the 1985 tournament. When Miguel returns to school, he finds out about the Golf N' Stuff fight and cuts his ties with the Cobra Kai students and the dojo itself. Johnny then decides to take his most loyal students and makes a new dojo called "Eagle Fang Karate". The Cobra Kai students then confront Johnny, and Kreese decides to leave Johnny permanently.

The local city council removes the permit for the 2019 All-Valley Karate Tournament championship in order to politically distance itself from the aftermath of the school brawl, prompting Daniel, Kreese, and Johnny to make their cases respectively. However, all three of them are dismissed from making their case when personal attacks on Kreese are brought in by Amanda. Miguel and Sam make their case about the need for Karate, prompting the city council to change their minds and reinstate the tournament. During the aftermath, Miguel and Sam catch up, leading to a friendly sparring session. However, Robby, having completed his sentence and rebuffed Daniel and Johnny's previous attempts to reconcile with him, mistakenly sees the sparring session as Samantha cheating on him again and believes that Tory was right about Sam and Miguel after all. Robby furiously ends his relationship with Samantha and turns to Kreese for help, while Johnny and Carmen make up and resume their relationship.

Ali returns to Los Angeles for the holiday and reunites with Johnny. The Cobra Kai students initially feel wary about Robby's presence following his actions against Miguel during the school brawl incident but eventually warm up to him after he steals a snake at the local zoo as a present for Kreese (except for Hawk). Miguel and Daniel start to find some common ground between Johnny and Daniel's childhood. Later, Sam and Miguel, who have rekindled their own romance, create an alliance between Eagle Fang and Miyagi-Do to fight against Cobra Kai, while Daniel, Johnny, Ali, and Amanda all end up going to the same country club for a Christmas party.

While Ali and Johnny mingle with Daniel and Amanda at a Christmas party, Cobra Kai students led by Tory bust into the LaRusso house. During the brawl, Miguel refuses to give up. Johnny's words ring through his ears and he overcomes his limitations and knocks out Kyler, while Hawk, having had a change of heart, reconciles with Demetri and turns on his fellow Cobra Kai mates, and Sam finally conquers her fear gaining the upper hand on Tory before Cobra Kai retreats. Johnny and Daniel separately learn of the ensuing conflict after the party, with Johnny instigating a fight with Kreese, who has been training Robby. Johnny briefly gains the upper hand, but Robby chooses to defend Kreese, forcing Johnny to accidentally knock his son out. Kreese uses the opportunity to choke Johnny, but Daniel intervenes and gains the upper hand using the Miyagi pressure point technique he learned from Chozen, barely sparing Kreese after being stopped by Sam and Miguel. Kreese, with Robby firmly on his side, agrees to leave if Cobra Kai loses the upcoming tournament, and later gives a call to Terry Silver. The next day, Daniel and Johnny train their students together at the Miyagi dojo in preparation for the tournament.

Eagle Fang and Miyagi-Do begin training together in an effort to beat Cobra Kai but Daniel and Johnny disagree on the best way to prepare their students. After Carmen finds out about Johnny and Ali hanging out she tells him that she wants to take things slowly. Kreese gets in contact with Terry Silver and invites him to come back to Cobra Kai. Terry declines claiming that he has found peace in the lavish lifestyle he began living after leaving Cobra Kai. Daniel proposes to Johnny that Eagle Fang should integrate into Miyagi-Do but Johnny disagrees causing the two to agree that the two dojos should split up. Kreese persuades Robby to join Cobra Kai, and Robby leads the other students by teaching them Miyagi-do Karate to have an advantage. Hawk initially faces resistance with the other Eagle Fang and Miyagi-Do students; however, after he proposes that he and the other students build an Okinawan sparring deck on spare land at the dojo for practice sessions they begin to accept him. The unity between the two dojos prompts Daniel and Johnny to agree and continue working together. Terry later contemplates returning to Cobra Kai.

Kenny Payne, a new student at school, prepares for his first day of school by himself and gets bullied by the other students, including Anthony LaRusso, Daniel's son. Daniel and Johnny agree to each take a day of training for each other to better understand the other's style of teaching. Amanda visits Tory at work in an effort to protect Sam and inadvertently gets her fired. Robby and Kreese continue training the other Cobra Kai students in Miyagi-Do but with their own twist on it. Kenny's classmates and Anthony trick him into cosplaying causing him to get into a fight with them but he runs away. Kreese confronts Amanda at the grocery store making her feel sorry for Tory. Daniel's Eagle Fang training leads him to a fight with hockey players. Amanda buys Tory groceries but Tory rejects them leading to a confrontation at the car dealership. Kenny, looking for help from his bullies, visits his older brother Shawn Payne in the juvenile home who points him towards Robby.

Daniel and his family along with Johnny, Carmen, and Miguel have dinner together where they discuss Sam and Miguel's future. Daniel and Johnny trade students so that each student gets both Miyagi-Do and Eagle Fang style training. When Kenny visits Cobra Kai, Kreese rejects him as a student saying that he's too weak. Carmen has trouble with her car and Daniel offers to have it towed and fixed himself. Terry visits Kreese and blames him for disturbing his peace of mind. Although initially saying he was too busy Robby agrees to teach Kenny some karate to help him defend himself by using his speed as a strength. Terry reflects on early Cobra Kai days with Kreese following their time in the military together. Johnny informs Carmen that he doesn't want to take things slowly and she agrees. Kenny visits the Cobra Kai dojo once more finally convincing Kreese to allow him to train there.

Johnny gets frustrated at Daniel when he and Miguel begin to grow closer. Kenny's middle school gets a tour of the high school where he runs into Miyagi-Do and Eagle Fang students who encourage him to leave Cobra Kai. Kreese introduces his students to Terry, informing them that he will also be joining the dojo as a sensei. Carmen wants to tell Miguel about her relationship with Johnny, but he disagrees. She tells Johnny to let Miguel know when he is ready. Tory begins her new job at a children's entertainment venue. Robby provides Kenny with additional one-on-one training, but they are interrupted by Terry who inspires Robby. Johnny contemplates how to break the news to Miguel and has flashbacks to a similar situation from his childhood. Daniel teaches Miguel how to drive. When Amanda and Sam attend a party at the same venue where Tory works, prompting her to quit. Robby confronts Johnny about Kenny and the conversation quickly turns personal. When Cobra Kai, Miyagi-Do, and Eagle Fang students all attend the same drive-in theatre where a fight almost breaks out. Terry and Kreese confront Daniel and Johnny at the Miyagi dojo.
35 5 "Match Point" Joel Novoa Bob Dearden December 31, 2021 (2021-12-31)
Terry attempts to apologize to Daniel who asks him and Kreese to leave, while Kreese admonishes Johnny for playing second fiddle to Daniel. Terry informs Daniel and Johnny that Cobra Kai is imposing a fighting mortarium on their students until the All-Valley Tournament. Daniel tells Johnny about his history with Terry and suggests that he take over the training of all their students. Johnny disagrees and proposes a tournament-style fight between the two, with the first to three points taking over the training. Johnny prepares for the fight while Daniel tries to find a way out of it. Daniel and Sam, Johnny and Miguel, as well as Terry and Kreese each have disagreements on the best way to train for the All-Valley. The Cobra Kai students retaliate for the events that followed the drive-in theatre escalation by shaving off Hawk's mohawk. Daniel and Johnny attempt to reach an agreement for the last time before fighting but ultimately compete against each other. The fight comes to a match point that results in a tie causing the two to split their dojos permanently.
36 6 "Kicks Get Chicks" Joel Novoa Mattea Greene December 31, 2021 (2021-12-31)
During the All-Valley board meeting the members of the board argue on nearly every aspect of the tournament before finally coming to a consensus on changes. Miyagi-Do and Cobra Kai embrace the changes quickly and begin strategizing; meanwhile, Eagle Fang are reluctant to accept them, but begin looking for female members to join the dojo. Tory argues with her aunt who wants her mother's disability checks. Tory turns to Amanda for help when she wants to re-enroll in school, but needs her to agree. Following the shaving incident, Hawk decides to quit karate despite Demetri's pleas to continue. Johnny and Miguel convince Piper, Moon's ex-girlfriend to join Eagle Fang. Sam disagrees with Tory returning to school leading to an argument between Sam and Amanda. Daniel confronts Robby in a convenience store and fails to have him stand up to Terry. Piper joins Cobra Kai instead which discourages Johnny. Sam visits Aisha in Santa Barbara for guidance on how to deal with Tory. Following encouragement from Miguel, Johnny continues his recruitment. Hawk returns to Miyagi-Do after a conversation with Demetri. On Tory's first day back at school Sam threatens her.
37 7 "Minefields" Tawnia McKiernan Bill Posley December 31, 2021 (2021-12-31)

In the locker room, Anthony steals Kenny's clothes to embarrass him. As Johnny prepares to tell Miguel about his relationship with Carmen, Miguel begins to suspect the relationship himself. Daniel finds Kenny's Cobra Kai hoodie in Anthony's room and questions him about it. Anthony lies about Kenny is instigating fights. Kreese and Terry, based on a bet they made, train their students to use weaknesses in their opponents to their advantage. Carmen and Johnny finally tell Miguel about their relationship. Miyagi-Do students and Anthony begin weapons and skills training for the All-Valley. Johnny introduces the Eagle Fang students to Devon Lee, the new female member he recruited from the high school debate team. Johnny refuses to let Miguel train because due to injury concerns. Daniel becomes disappointed after Anthony takes shortcuts in his training. Miguel doesn't like that Johnny began treating him differently because of his relationship with Carmen. Kenny fights off Anthony and his friends leading to Anthony's suspension. Johnny later decides to let Miguel continue training, they are joined by Sam who says she wants both Miyagi-Do and Eagle Fang training. Tensions rise between Kreese and Terry over differences between their training styles.

Stingray is released from probation and prepares to return to Cobra Kai. The students at Cobra Kai plan for prom as Kreese and Terry train them how to beat their opponents psychologically. Tory asks Robby to be her prom date and Kreese rejects Stingray's request to rejoin the dojo. Sam and Miguel also plan on attending prom together. Shannon, Robby's mother, tells Johnny that Terry gifted Robby a car and money. Tensions rise at prom when Sam and Miguel become annoyed at Robby and Tory. Terry proposes moving Cobra Kai to its original location. Daniel's cousin Vanessa, a psychology student, blames Daniel and Amanda for Anthony's behavior. Terry attacks Johnny to show Kreese his loyalty. Kreese however, forces Terry to let him go. Stingray hosts an afterparty where a fight breaks out between Sam and Miguel with Tory and Robby. Anthony gets into further trouble when he continues using technology while he's grounded. Johnny's injuries are tended to by Miguel. Johnny says he wants to be a father figure to him, but accidentally refers to him as Robby leaving Miguel heartbroken. A drunken Terry severely beats Stingray when he makes another request to rejoin Cobra Kai.
39 9 "The Fall" Josh Heald Michael Jonathan Smith December 31, 2021 (2021-12-31)
Cobra Kai, Eagle Fang, and Miyagi-Do come head-to-head when the All-Valley Tournament begins. Kreese and Terry, Johnny, and Daniel each give their respective students a last-minute pep talk before the skills competition begins. Cobra Kai takes first place in the skills competition, followed by Miyagi-Do in second, and Eagle Fang in sixth place. Carrie Underwood performs at the tournament before the fighting competition takes place. Eagle Fang loses the female competition when Tory beats Devon in the semi-finals. When Daniel notices Cobra Kai students using Miyagi-Do moves he makes a last-ditch appeal to Robby to switch sides. Hawk gains last-minute confidence from Moon and beats Kyler in his match. Sam also wins her match against Piper using combined Miyagi-Do and Eagle Fang skills. Kenny and Robby get pitted against each other and Kenny gets eliminated with a broken nose. In the semi-finals Miguel and Hawk are first to compete against each other resulting in a pulled back muscle for Miguel.
40 10 "The Rise" Josh Heald Bob Dearden December 31, 2021 (2021-12-31)
Miguel is cleared to fight. Anthony apologizes to Kenny, but Kenny pummels him until he is stopped by Robby. Sam and Tory each advance through the competition to become the last women standing. Miguel disappears instead of returning to fight, which advances Hawk to the final round against Robby. Daniel encourages Hawk to use Cobra Kai moves against Robby. Adding Eagle Fang techniques as well, Hawk wins the male portion of the tournament. After realizing the benefits of Eagle Fang, Daniel proposes that he and Johnny create their own combined style of karate called "Miyagi-Fang." The two then encourage Sam to combine the two styles herself. Terry encourages Tory to fight dirty, but Kreese intervenes. Tory wins the match allowing Cobra Kai to win the tournament overall and Terry announces his plans to start franchising Cobra Kai. After the match, Tory oversees Terry bribing the referee. Robby apologizes to Johnny after he realizes Cobra Kai's effects and the two reconcile. Kreese gets arrested for Stingray's attack after Terry frames him. Miguel heads to Mexico City in search of his biological father. Daniel visits Mr. Miyagi's grave and enlists Chozen's help to defeat Cobra Kai for good.

Johnny and Robby travel to Mexico in search of Miguel, who is looking for his biological father, Hector Salazar. Robby is initially displeased with the aim of their trip and wishes to return home, but relents after helping his father take a group of Australian scammers who were attempting to pickpocket them. Miguel eventually finds Hector, who is now remarried with a woman, Maria and has a young son named Luis. After saving Luis from the path of an oncoming vehicle, Miguel is invited by Maria and Hector to stay with his family as a reward. As part of his deal with Cobra Kai, Daniel decides to shut down Miyagi-Do Karate. While spying on Silver with Daniel, Chozen recognizes Silver's moves and deduces that his sensei was Kim Sun-yung, a martial artist and master of Tang Soo Do whose teaching style was based on deception. Daniel and Chozen concoct a plan to expose Silver's maniacal nature to the Valley, which involves Chozen posing as a local sensei auditioning alongside other senseis that Silver is looking to hire.

In 1972, a young Chozen trains under his uncle Sato. Johnny and Robby get their van towed, forcing them to participate in a spicy pepper challenge to get it back. Robby wins the competition by eating the spiciest pepper available, although he reveals he cheated and ate candy Johnny gave to him earlier in the trip. Miguel discovers that Hector doesn't know he exists and confronts his mother, who warns that he is a very dangerous man. Miguel accompanies Hector to an underground fight ring, where it is implied that Hector is a wanted man due to his shady history in Ecuador. Miguel realizes his mother was right and flees before being found by Johnny and tearfully reuniting with him. Meanwhile, Silver introduces his new lineup of senseis to his students. Tory talks with Chozen, and Terry becomes acquainted with Chozen, inviting him over to dinner later that day. Silver is confronted by Tory, who reveals she knows that Silver paid off the referee to ensure Cobra Kai's victory at the All-Valley Tournament. Silver discovers Chozen's true identity due to a toast the two shared during dinner and has the other senseis attack him, but Chozen easily defeats them and tells Silver to stay away from the LaRussos.
43 3 "Playing with Fire" Marielle Woods Mattea Greene September 9, 2022 (2022-09-09)
Upon Johnny's return from Mexico, Carmen tells him that she thinks she might be pregnant. Not wanting to fail the baby like he failed Robby, Johnny gets advice off a YouTube tutorial on the internet on how to prepare and cleans up his apartment, later learning that Carmen is actually pregnant. Meanwhile, Miguel thinks Sam wants to break up with him, so Eli and Demetri give him various ways to win her over, including buying an octopus necklace. Meanwhile, Sam, Yasmine, and Moon go on a spa day to help Sam figure out who she really is, during which she confronts her past, including an evil version of herself. Miguel and Sam meet up at Miyagi-Do, where Sam tells him she needs a break to figure out who she is. Daniel and Chozen track down Silver's old associate, Mike Barnes, after deducing that Silver will call upon old friends for help, only to discover that he is a changed man and has cut ties with Silver. Mike apologizes to Daniel for how harshly he treated him during the 1985 All-Valley Tournament and gives him the number of Silver's former attorney. Upon discovering that Daniel used Barnes for help, Silver burns his furniture store in retaliation.
44 4 "Downward Spiral" Steve Pink Ashley Darnall September 9, 2022 (2022-09-09)
Johnny receives a visit from Shannon, who has come to pick up Robby so he can spend the summer with her parents. Upon learning Carmen is pregnant, Shannon recommends Johnny get a job as a rideshare driver. Johnny's first day does not go as planned, with him getting multiple one star reviews due to his questionable driving, loud music and unsanitary habits. He contemplates quitting, but he gets inspired from a pawn shop owner to continue working to provide for his new family, later asking Shannon for a second chance with Robby. Meanwhile, the teens get into a feud at a local waterpark. Tory and Eli have a race down a waterslide to determine which dojo gets to stay. Tory wins, but the other teens discover that they cheated by giving Eli a tube with a hole in it. They get into a fight and are kicked out. Robby wants Tory to leave Cobra Kai since he knows all the students are getting brainwashed by Silver. Tory refuses which leads to Robby breaking up with her. Daniel and Amanda go to a charity auction, which they discover is being hosted by Silver, who starts to aggravate Daniel, causing him to embarrass Amanda in front of the attendees. Furious at Daniel for ruining her chance of getting a spot on the charity board and for refusing to let his rivalry with Silver go, Amanda leaves to her mother's house in Columbus, Ohio and takes her children with her.
45 5 "Extreme Measures" Jennifer Celotta Bob Dearden September 9, 2022 (2022-09-09)
Johnny tries numerous times to get Miguel and Robby to befriend each other, but they refuse due to their history together. After reminiscing with Daniel about their past, Johnny has the two boys fight each other to help them get over their rivalry. They reconcile, during which Johnny accidentally reveals that Carmen is pregnant, much to their joy. Daniel, who has begun drinking heavily after Amanda's departure, receives a newspaper clipping via mail implying that Stingray lied about Kreese assaulting him, which leads to him and Chozen paying him a visit. Stingray now lives a luxurious life, having been bribed by Silver to lie at Kreese's trial. When Daniel returns to apologize to Stingray for berating him earlier, he is ambushed by Silver and beaten to a pulp, leaving him demoralized. In Ohio, Amanda learns from her cousin and Daniel's friend, Jessica Andrews, about how Silver tormented him in 1985. Finally learning how twisted Silver actually is, Amanda and the children return home to care for an injured Daniel. Meanwhile, Tory (who gave Daniel the tip) and an imprisoned Kreese scheme to take Silver down.
46 6 "Ouroboros" Joel Novoa Michael Jonathan Smith September 9, 2022 (2022-09-09)
Silver recruits a group of senseis from South Korea led by Kim Da-eun, the granddaughter of Kim Sun-yung. They take over a local dojo, Topanga Karate, and rebrand it as Cobra Kai, merging it into his new string of dojos. Kim forces the students into a brutal combat tournament as a test, during which former Eagle-Fang student Devon Lee fails to defeat Tory. The next day, Devon joins Cobra Kai, due to her being in Topanga briefly. In prison, Kreese is harassed by a group of inmates but refuses to react, hoping to get a parole hearing so he can be released. Upon discovering that his parole hearing has been denied, Kreese gets into a fight with the group of inmates, earning their respect. Meanwhile, Daniel gives up karate and returns to work at the car dealership, prompting Johnny and Chozen to go confront Silver at the Topanga dojo, only to fight Hyan-woo instead. The duo are forced to flee when Kim Da-eun shows up with the rest of the senseis. Amanda takes Daniel to the Miyagi-Do dojo, where he visits Mr. Miyagi's old room and reconciles with Robby, who has rejoined Miyagi-Do. Inspired by the combined efforts of the Miyagi-Do & Eagle Fang students, Johnny, and Chozen, Daniel decides to continue fighting.
47 7 "Bad Eggs" Joel Novoa Joe Piarulli & Luan Thomas September 9, 2022 (2022-09-09)
In 1980, Silver and Kreese train in South Korea under Kim Sun-yung. Daniel and Johnny go to visit Kreese to find out what Silver's motive is, leaving Chozen as the students' sensei for the day. Chozen issues a challenge in which the students must protect an egg they are assigned from being destroyed, but they all fail when Chozen destroys the eggs. On their second attempt, the students win when they work together to protect the eggs, at Anthony's suggestion. At Cobra Kai, Silver and Kim split the students into two groups, the boys and the girls, and have two students from each group work together to combat a respective sensei. Tory and Devon are paired up and fail to defeat Kim, while Kyler and Kenny are paired up and fail to work together when Kyler deems himself superior to Kenny. After a pep talk from Silver, Kenny beats Kyler as a distraction and manages to beat Sensei Odell by himself. During their visit, Daniel and Johnny trick Kreese into revealing Silver plans to enroll Cobra Kai into the Sekai Taikai, the most elite karate tournament in the world so that Cobra Kai can go worldwide.
48 8 "Taikai" Marielle Woods Ashley Darnall September 9, 2022 (2022-09-09)
A Sekai Taikai selection committee meet with Silver at the Cobra Kai dojo. Daniel, Johnny, Amanda and Chozen intrude and try to convince the judges to let Miyagi-Do and Eagle Fang try out for the tournament. They do so and both dojos show them their techniques. Impressed by both dojos, the judges decide to hold a tournament-style presentation to decide which will participate in the Sekai Taikai, with each dojo deciding one male and female fighter. Cobra Kai chooses Kenny and Tory, while Miyagi-Do and Eagle Fang choose Eli and Sam. Apparently giving up on his scheme, Kreese tells Tory to just look after herself, which angers her as she worked with him for nothing. Sam finds the discarded octopus necklace Miguel bought for her in the ground at Miyagi-Do. Later, Kenny defeats Eli, using the 'Silver Bullet' strike Silver taught him to knock the wind out of him. Realizing Silver bribed the referee in charge of the presentation, Tory flees before her and Sam's fight, forcing Devon to take her place. In spite of the rigged match, Sam still defeats Devon, and the committee decide to let both dojos join the Sekai Taikai. At a party at Johnny's apartment, a remorseful Tory arrives and admits to Sam that Silver rigged their match at the All-Valley tournament.
49 9 "Survivors" Steven Tsuchida Michael Jonathan Smith September 9, 2022 (2022-09-09)
Sam lashes out at Tory following her confession due to her not doing anything about the tournament being rigged. Later during training, Silver and Kim punish Tory for deserting the fight the previous day by forcing her to punch through a stone dummy, heavily injuring her hand and making it bleed. Robby attempts to persuade the Cobra Kai students to quit, but they ignore him. Miguel, Sam, Hawk, Demetri and Bert approach Stingray at his house, who uses a Dungeons & Dragons scenario to recount the true story of the assault, admitting he is too scared of Silver to confess the truth. Sam gives Tory another chance, discovering her mother's illness, and they hatch a plan with the other students to acquire evidence of Silver's crimes to show to the Cobra Kais. After Silver discovers Carmen's pregnancy in a hospital encounter, she and Johnny inform Daniel, Amanda and Chozen, and the five go clubbing to celebrate. Chozen admits to Johnny and Daniel that he is in love with Kumiko, and he leaves her a voicemail message. The three men continue their night out, only for their limo to be hijacked while on their way to another bar, with Chozen believing that Silver did it.
50 10 "Head of the Snake" Joel Novoa Bob Dearden September 9, 2022 (2022-09-09)
Kreese, in prison, tries showing mercy towards a cellmate, but is presumably killed in the fight. A vengeful Barnes, who hijacked the limo, decides to launch an attack on Silver and his senseis at his mansion, and Johnny and Chozen join him, but Daniel refuses, leaving him behind. Barnes is quickly subdued, while Silver and Chozen engage in a fight to the death, which ends with the latter being wounded. Meanwhile, Johnny almost gives up on defeating the senseis, but does so after seeing an ultrasound of his unborn baby and is later assisted by Barnes. At the same time, Tory helps the Miyagi-Do and Eagle Fang students infiltrate the Cobra Kai dojo and hack the mainframe to procure footage of Silver beating up Stingray, but when they find out the footage was deleted, they decide to upload the video of Tory's confrontation with Silver, in which he admits to rigging her match with Sam. Mitch defects to the Cobra Kai students, warning them about the Miyagi-Do and Eagle Fang students' plan. A fight between the 3 dojos ensues, soon joined by Kim. Devon switches sides and helps Tory fight Kim, while Eli and Demetri acquire the footage and join the fight. Anthony grabs the Cobra Kai tablet, and as the Miyagi-Do and Eagle Fang students protect him, he uploads and plays the video on the dojo screens via YouTube, breaking their faith in Silver. Daniel, Amanda, Carmen and a remorseful Stingray arrive at the dojo, as does Silver, who desperately tries to sway back his Cobra Kai students, but they don't respond to him as his maniacal nature is exposed. Silver challenges Daniel to a fight, during which Daniel uses the Quicksilver method against him. He finally finishes him off using a crane kick, which leads to Silver falling to the ground in defeat. Silver's students desert him, throwing their Cobra Kai shirts on him, and he is arrested when Stingray confesses to his false testimony. Tory and Robby reconcile with a kiss, and Sam and Miguel confess their love for each other. Chozen arrives being heavily wounded and is hospitalized, while Barnes steals a painting from Silver to compensate for his furniture store. Daniel, Johnny and their students celebrate their victory over Cobra Kai. However, unknown to everyone, Kreese is revealed to have faked his death by using melted Jell-O as fake blood, and escaped prison with revenge on his mind.
