DXRacer is a manufacturer and distributor of ergonomically-designed gaming and office chairs and accessories, including tablet mounts, mousepad arms, keyboard pads, mousepads, footrests and ottomans. The products are designed and marketed largely to gamers.[1][2]

History

In 1999, DXRacer started as a manufacturer of car seats specializing in racing seats and sports seats, as Jiangyin Dexin Auto Parts Chair [3] In 2003, it entered the office furniture industry with a series of chairs and accessories designed and marketed for computer use based on the car seat designs.[4] In 2008 the office chairs began gaining traction with gamers and DXRacer starts making full steel frame chairs. In 2012, F1 racing seats begin being used for racing game chairs.

Products

DXRacer USA’s products include the PC gaming chairs, console gaming chairs, game simulator, office chairs, and accessories.

Gaming chairs

The gaming chairs are ergonomically-designed, with a race car seat theme.

There are four gaming chair options, the D, F, K, and R series. The chairs incorporate a full steel frame, German engineered hydraulics system, and a metal five-point base with gas spring. Other key features are: high backrest, a tilt mechanism for the back to be lowered up to 170 degree angle - in newer ones 135 degree -, the ability to lock in place at any point, adjustable armrests, and headrest and lumbar cushions.

The console gaming chairs feature most of the elements of PC gaming chairs, with the exception of the wheels and gas spring base.

Office chairs

DXRacer makes two types of office chairs: the M and U series. The chairs are designed to bring the DXRacer racing theme into the workplace.

Partnerships

In 2012, DXRacer entered the electronic sports arena and became an official sponsor for Fnatic,[5] Complexity Gaming,[6] Team Dignitas, and FaZe Clan.[7]

In December 2013, DXRacer partnered with Ignite Gaming Lounge in Chicago.[8][9]

In summer of 2014, DXRacer partnered with Robert Morris University to provide gaming chairs for the university’s eSports program.[10] RMU became the first university in the US to have scholarships available for their eSports program, specifically for players of League of Legends, one of the most popular game in ESports.
